About me

My name is Karen S. Thigpen and I have been teaching for 6 years. I have taught 5th, 6th, and currently 1st grade.  I am proud to be a 3^rd generation teacher here at Enon Elementary School.  I believe that all students are capable of learning to their fullest extent and I am here as a tool to help guide them to where they need to be.  Thank you for letting me teach your child this year.

 

Parent Expectations

Please work with your child on homework.  It is very important that the students be reading their decodable books every night.  They can read it to any member of the family and in turn answer questions about the story or tell what happened in the story.  Review sight words every day, the students should be able to say them and spell them.

 

Student Expectations

Students should be able to follow rules, procedures, and directions in a timely manner.  I expect their best in everything they do.
