At the end of Kindergarten, your child must be able to:
Recognize the letters of the alphabet in random order with 92% accuracy
Identify appropriate sounds when letters are shown in random order with 85% accuracy
Count to 10
Identify numerals 1-10 in random order with 80% accuracy
Match sets of things to numerals with 80% accuracy
Parent Expectations
As a parent, what can I do to ensure that my child meets all the credentials for graduating Kindergarten?
Talk with child each afternoon about what she/he is doing at school.
Read with child each night.
Have child recognize words in books.
Play educational games with child.
Be supportive of child’s teacher and school.
Class Rules
No talking unless called upon.
Raise your hand and wait to be called upon.
Sit correctly on assigned carpet space.
Walk quietly in halls.
Stay in assigned center.

ORANGE -Lose entire recess, no snack

About Me
I am excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Enon Elementary. For many of the students, Kindergarten will be their first exposure to school. I want this to be a positive experience. I believe all children CAN and WILL learn. I look forward to spending the year with your child.
